One In An ARMY is extremely proud to announce the results of our November 2020 campaign, Lit With ARMY, benefiting Literacy for Incarcerated Teens!

Literacy for Incarcerated Teens, Inc. (LIT) is the only non-profit organization of its kind working to end illiteracy among New York’s incarcerated young people by inspiring them to read.

There is a link between engaging young people in meaningful activities, particularly those aimed at helping to shape young people’s identities and outlooks, and their ability to desist from crime. Reading and the practice of literacy—which include access to a library and library services—is a direct way in which young people can begin to focus their identities and outlooks more positively.

In the month November 257 ARMY from 22+ countries raised $5,840.09! This will help Literacy for Incarcerated Teens provide 300+ magazine subscriptions to all 80 of the centers they help in New York State and still leave additional funds available for other initiatives!

Literacy for Incarcerated Teens has sent a letter to BTS and Big Hit Entertainment so they can hear about what ARMY accomplished this month.

Donating (and BTS' highly anticipated, self-directed album BE) wasn't the only thing that kept ARMY busy in November. The non-monetary Bonus Mission, Journey To ARMYtopia, continued with the November Challenge which asked ARMY to download Charity Miles and get moving for the charity of their choice.

Hundreds of ARMY rose to the challenge and walked, jogged, and cycled to fundraise for charity. We even had ARMY joining that couldn't go outside due to pollution or quarantine: they used the app while they moved around the house!

The Journey to ARMYtopia team currently has 261 members who have walked a total of 7,487.30 miles!

That's enough to walk from one side of the USA to the other and back again!

Thank you to the ARMY who joined us in donating and spreading the word about our campaign for Literacy for Incarcerated Teens, and thank you to all the ARMY who joined us on Charity Miles. You worked hard!
